Project description:
The interior design for the notary's office in a listed building was based on the premise of preserving the historic character of the rooms while simultaneously creating a contemporary, trusting atmosphere. The existing building, characterized by generous room proportions, stucco ceilings, and classical details, was treated with great restraint, preserving the charm of the historic structure.
A central design element is the custom-made counter with solid wood paneling, which runs like a common thread throughout the office. From the reception desk to the notary's desk to the notarization area. This warm, tactile material lends the spaces identity and creates a connection between tradition and modernity.
The challenge was to create a spatial effect that exudes trust, discretion, and seriousness without appearing too distant or heavy. A minimalist color scheme, high-quality materials, and clean lines created a restrained, elegant ambience. Fresh, modern, and with a keen sense of the location.
